Canaan has no dedicated town youth sports league of its own; families in Canaan play through the Mascoma Youth Sports League (baseball, softball, basketball, soccer and field hockey, serving the Mascoma school district towns of Canaan, Dorchester, Enfield, Grafton and Orange) and through Lebanon Youth Baseball Association, which also draws from Canaan. The Canaan Recreation Commission runs a summer camp, afterschool program (CASP) and swim lessons rather than organized sports leagues.
