Peru is a small Green Mountain town (pop. about 530) with no town recreation department or independent youth team-sports league. Its youth-sports identity centers on Bromley Mountain, the ski area within town limits: the nonprofit Bromley Outing Club runs alpine racing, freestyle and midweek ski programs, and Bromley itself runs the Mighty Moose Club and JETS lesson programs. Families travel to Manchester or Londonderry for organized soccer, baseball, basketball and other team sports.
