Troy has no town recreation department or local youth sports club of its own. Troy School students play through the North Country Supervisory Union's district-wide Middle Level Athletics (cross country, field hockey, disc golf in fall; baseball, softball, track & field in spring) and, at 7th-8th grade, North Country Union Junior High School's soccer, cross country and basketball teams. Families also use Newport Parks & Recreation's after-school Rec League for younger kids, and Jay Peak Resort, a few miles away in neighboring Jay, for kids' ski and ride programs.
