Shaftsbury has no youth sports league of its own — its Recreation Committee maintains parks (Howard Park's ballfields, Cleveland Ave's T-ball diamond) but doesn't run programs. Shaftsbury kids play through Bennington-based regional organizations: Bennington Little League (which explicitly fields games in Shaftsbury), the Berkshire Family YMCA's Bennington branches, the Bennington Sports & Wellness Center, and Prospect Mountain's Nordic ski league.
