Hallowell runs only a summer recreation day program of its own (already closed for 2026); organized team sports come from next-door Augusta. Augusta Parks & Recreation explicitly prices in non-residents for fall soccer, tackle football and travel field hockey, the Kennebec Valley YMCA (about 2 miles away) runs swim team and youth basketball, and regional clubs cover hockey, lacrosse and Nordic skiing. Capital Area Little League's own history page charters only Augusta East/South/North, so Hallowell families are not covered by a chartered baseball/softball league.
