Minot is a small rural town (pop. ~2,766) with no municipal recreation program of its own; the town's Parks page points families to the Minot-Hebron Athletic Association, which has run baseball, softball, soccer and basketball for Minot and Hebron kids since 1972. For hockey, swim, extra basketball and Nordic skiing, area families use the YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston and the Auburn Nordic Ski Association at Lost Valley, both about 9 miles away.
